What you can expect
Let yourself go, enjoy from the first to the last minute. We have put together a complete program for you, in each place the most beautiful and best activities are waiting for you and in each national park different safaris.
In our offer we have integrated a highlight for every day. Many of these highlights are already included in the tour price, such as evening excursions in Matobo and Hwange National Parks. Other activities we offer optionally like the suspension bridges at Mutarazi Falls, early morning excursions into the national parks, a bird safari or a helicopter flight over Victoria Falls. These offers can be pre-booked with us shortly before reaching the respective destinations.
We offer our tour with full board and will usually have breakfast at the respective accommodations. Sometimes this is provided by the accommodation, in other houses we prepare the breakfast ourselves. We will usually have the light lunch during a break during the trips or in the accommodations. Dinner will again be provided in or by the accommodations. Exceptions are the visits to restaurants in Harare, Bulawayo and Victoria Falls, where you can order your meal á la carte and then pay yourself.
For your drinks during the trip you are responsible - except at breakfast there is a good coffee or tea waiting for you. We will regularly stop at supermarkets where you can buy your drinks. We also recommend to buy enough water, because the tap water in Zimbabwe is drinkable in most cases, but you should still prefer water from closed bottles. In some accommodations there is a bar available in the evening where you can end the exciting day.
The accommodations are chosen so that you are not exposed to the hustle and bustle of the cities and can enjoy their surroundings everywhere. With a few exceptions, the accommodations are permanent houses (called lodges), the rooms are clean and attractively furnished and equipped with all necessities. In the national parks we also stay in large tents or tree houses, which are set up in exclusive locations and are equipped with beds, commodes and wet rooms. All rooms are double rooms and that is how the prices are calculated. If a room is occupied by only one person, we have to take an extra charge, so please contact us. In some national parks there is only very limited accommodation available, here you have to share a room with a fellow traveler of the same sex. Family rooms are also available in most lodges.
What exactly is included in the price of the trip?
All 14 nights (calculated in double room) - 14 x breakfast, all light lunches and 11 times dinners (only the two dinners in restaurants in Harare, Bulawayo and Victoria Falls are at your expense) - all entrance fees to parks including to the ruins of Great Zimbabwe and Victoria Falls - a visit to a village - guided tours and city visits - 2 full day safaris - 2 evening safaris - a boat trip on the Zambezi with sparkling wine - transfer from and to the airport on the day of arrival and departure - the trip in our coach to the most beautiful places and the supervision by Alington and Heidi including translations if desired. ..
Who can participate on this trip?
This trip is open to everyone who wants to see new places in Africa. Children 12 years and older with their parents, but also to seniors who have always wanted to go to Africa are welcome. We also expect grandparents with grandchildren or aunts and uncles with nieces or nephews, newly married couples, groups or individual travelers. What you need to bring is enjoyment of touring Zimbabwe in a group, curiosity about other people and other cultures. There are only short distances to be covered on foot and the climate is very pleasant especially in the Zimbabwean winter from May to August, both during the day and at night.
Marvel at the jewel of Africa, immerse yourself in African nature, let us take you to very special places. Relax in the bus as we drive through the country, get in touch with the local people and enjoy Zimbabwe from the first to the last minute. You will experience a country of contrasts with curious and friendly people, with an infinitely beautiful and varied landscape, but you will also see what industry and climate change are doing.
